Buckhorn Golf Course is situated at the foothills of Hill Country, in Comfort, Texas.
This public course is also the only golf facility in the Comfort area.
The course is situated to the north of San Antonio and is reachable in 49 minutes and is an hour and 48 minutes away from Austin.
The facility is open for play year-round.

Wide open, just like Texas, is how you’d feel at this course.
The course is beautiful with ponds and creeks with scenic vistas of the surrounding hills giving it a tranquil vibe. The course is not wooded and trees are sparse, but you’ll encounter oak trees that are scattered throughout.
The facility is well maintained and is top-notch in terms of service and upkeep for a public course. Although it takes roughly 50 minutes on average from San Antonio, it’s worth the trip.
Buckhorn has a nice rectangular layout with wide forgiving fairways and large undulating greens.
Because of this shape, there are a lot of parallel fairways. The front 9’s are more open than the back. But watch out for the elevation changes.
Beginners and seniors would find this course perfect for their skill levels. The course also boasts of 100 feet of natural elevation change.
This course is made to have a fun, enjoyable, and relaxing round of golf.
Measuring 6650 yards from the back tees, this is not a lengthy course. With 4 sets of tees available, this can be a fun course for everyone.

Layout
Driving Range
The course boasts of an expansive practice area with more than an acre of space for swing practice as well as a big short game area with putting and chipping greens with bunkers.
Dress Code
Proper golf attire is required.
Membership Cost/Price
Buckhorn has yearly membership options for individuals and families. The individual rate is $249 per month and the family rate is $399 per month with a minimum 12-month commitment.
Restaurant – Menu
There is no snack bar available, however, Buckhorn has a restaurant.
The banquet and meeting facility can host parties and events and there are consultants available who’ll help you plan all along.
Pro Shop
The golf shop stocks all the latest golfing equipment and attire.
Buckhorn also has a golf academy that provides a variety of golf instruction programs for adults as well as kids.
Tee Times
The tee time hours at Buckhorn are from 7:30 AM to 4:50 PM with a total of 66 slots. You may visit the course’s website for reserving hours.
