Howell Park Golf Course is a beautiful course that is carved out of the woodlands of Timber Swamp Brook with the Manasquan River winding its way around the periphery.
So, it’s left up to one’s imagination as to how pretty this course can be. The facility is bordered by mature trees and woods and so are the fairways making it tranquil with lots of wildlife calling this area home.
The course lights up in the fiery autumnal foliage during the Fall season.
The course has a nice layout and the tracks play long. The fairways are wide with plenty of doglegs.
The course is challenging but not penal. As long as the ball is lodged onto the fairways, there shouldn’t be an issue with putting up a respectable score on the card.
The woods and thick roughs can play spoilsport with errant shots, though.
There is no water on the course, however, there is a good mix of bunkers that are placed strategically for hazards.
The course hardly has elevation changes and is mostly flat. However, the greens have undulations with slopes.
The course measures almost 7000 yards from the tips and is a long course.
There are 4 sets of tees available with the forward one measuring 5800 yards and so should be fun for golfers at all skill levels.

Howell Park has a driving range for long-game practice. A practice putting green is also available.

Pro Shop
Howell Park’s golf shop stocks merchandise, equipment, and apparel.
The facility also conducts golf clinics for beginner and intermediate golfers.
Tee Times
Tee time hour reservations can be done via the course’s website after purchasing of Monmouth County resident ID card or a non-resident reservation ID card.
The facility is closed from the end of December to mid-March
