Meadow Oaks Golf Course – Semi-Private

Tucked away at the very top of a wilderness preserve, Meadow Oaks is a popular golf course in this area. And not for nothing – as they are known to maintain the course well even during summers.

The course is an 18-hole par-70 built in 1984 with a USGA rating of 69 and a slope of 121.

This is a beautiful course with fairways lined by mature oaks. The fairways are wide but cut short, so focusing on accuracy may not be a bad strategy.

There aren’t too many elevation changes or undulations unlike some of the other courses in this region.

The layout is nice, water comes into play in 7 of the finishing holes, and measuring 6030 yards this is not a lengthy course, either.

Seniors and beginner golfers will find this course to be fun and challenging.

The facility has nice short-game practice areas with putting and chipping green and a practice bunker. There is no driving range for long game practice, though.

Golf instructors are available for private lessons.

The green fees are $30 for morning tee times, $27 for noon sessions and the rates drop to $20 for afternoon tee times.

Multiple membership options are available including ‘Single’ and ‘Couple’ plans.

A full-service restaurant is available for nourishments and a well-stocked pro shop for gear and apparel.

Beacon Woods Golf Course Bayonet Point – Private

Although technically not in Hudson, this golf course is not far from Meadow Oaks.

The highlight of this course is that it’s very close to the Gulf Coast, at the same time feels like being in the countryside.

Built in 1974, the course is par-72 with 18 holes, with a USGA rating of 70.7 and a slope of 126.

This is a link-style golf course with rolling terrain and elevation changes. Although close to the beach, the course incorporates the elements of swampy Florida vegetation and wildlife that are characteristics of this region.

With lush flora lining the fairways, contoured greens, and with water present in some holes, this course has a beautiful and serene vibe to it.

The course has a nice layout and measures 6510 yards from the back tees. Not a lengthy course, however, can be challenging with its contoured greens and strategic bunkers.

An all-grass driving range with a large putting green is on the property for the long and short game practice.

PGA professionals are available for private and group golf lessons as well as for clinics.

The clubhouse has a pro shop as well as a restaurant for post-game indulgence.

The green fees range from $35 for 7-11 AM tee time, $24 for 11 AM – 1 AM, and $19 for sessions after 1 PM.

Membership options are available if you wish to become one.

Heritage Pines Golf Course – Private

The golf course at Heritage Pines is part of the Heritage Pines Community Association and is a fully private course with access to the public only for large groups.

The course was designed by Ron Garl and opened in 2000. An 18-hole par-71 with a course rating of 69.3 and a rating of 124.

Situated close to nature preserves, the course takes the characteristics of the region with an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Certification – certifies golf courses that adhere to environmental planning and wildlife management.

However, the course has a slightly different topography than one would expect in the Florida midwest. Here you will get to experience rolling hills and elevation changes.

The course has lush vegetation and scenic views. With wide fairways and manicured greens, this is a beautiful course.

Measuring 6190 yards from the back tees, this is not a long course but is challenging, and with 6 sets of tees is perfect for golfers at all skill levels.

The facility also has a full driving range, short game practice areas, as well as, a putting green.

A pro shop, as well as a bar, is accessible at the clubhouse.
