Indian Bluff Golf Course lies just outside of the Quad Cities in Milan, IL. In fact, the Quad City International airport’s southern boundary abuts the northern boundary wall of the golf course.
This public course lies 169 miles west of Chicago.
Indian Bluff is one of the two courses in Milan, the other one being private.
The region’s weather is warm-to-hot summers and cold winters with snow from November through February. The golf course is typically closed during the colder months.

Indian Bluff Golf Course was built in 1920 and has just completed its centennial existence.

This golf course is considered to be a hidden gem by many. Indian Bluffs is a beautiful course, and for a public course, is well maintained too.
The fairways are lined with trees, and natural ponds and water bodies dot the course. However, water comes into play very rarely.
The terrain is undulating, especially on the back nines. The front nines are relatively flat and wide.
Although there aren’t many doglegs, this is a challenging course with strategically placed bunkers and some tight fairways that would require one to use most of the clubs in the bag.
Measuring 5700 yards from the back tees, this course is small in yardage compared to today’s standards. However, don’t let that fool you, it makes up for it in terms of some tricky holes, tight fairways, and elevation changes.
Accuracy is rewarded more than the driving distance.
With 3 sets of tees, the course can be fun and challenging for players at all skill and age levels.

Course Layout
Restaurant – Menu
The clubhouse has a snack bar as well as an outside concession stand that serves hotdogs, sandwiches, beer, etc. The facility is not big enough to host full-fledged weddings or other big private parties, though.
Driving Range
There is no driving range available at the facility. However, a pitching and chipping area, as well as a putting green for short game practice, can be accessible.
Tee Times
The morning tee time hours start at 9 AM with the last slot at 3 PM with a total of 40 slots available with each slot accommodating 4 players.
The course is closed during winter.
Dress Code
Appropriate golf course attire is required at all times. Shirts must be worn at all times. Spiked shoes and boots are not allowed.
