Pioneers Golf Course (Scorecard | Rates)
Pioneers Golf Course is situated in the southern outskirts of Lincoln, Nebraska, in Pioneers Park.
Pioneers is one of the 5 municipal courses owned by the city that also include the Mahoney and Holmes Golf Courses.
The Lincoln Aiport is just a few minutes away from the facility.
The course is open for golfing year-round, weather permitting.

Pioneers Golf Course was built in 1930 and designed by course architect William Tucker. Originally, a 27-hole course was later scaled down to 18 holes.
This is also the oldest course in the Nebraska region and borders the Pioneers Park on the southern side.

Pioneers is a beautiful course and is considered to be the prettiest in Lincoln.
The course has mild rolling hills and mature trees with picturesque vistas of the surroundings.
The course has a nice rectangular layout. One of the striking aspects of this course is that there are no sand bunkers here. Water also doesn’t come into play except on one hole.
Instead, the challenges come in the form of undulating greens, trees that line the fairways requiring good shot placement, and fairways with side lies.
It’s not unduly penal, fairways are wide and forgiving and as long as you can get the ball onto the fairways, you should be able to put up a decent score.
The course is not long, measuring a little under 6500 yards and there are only 2 holes that measure more than 500 yards. There are 11 par-4’s, 3 par-5’s, and 4 par-3’s.
With three sets of tees available, this can be a challenging and fun course for beginners as well advanced players.

Layout
Driving Range
Pioneer has a 300-yard driving range with 35 hitting stations with 6 targets ranging from 75 to 275 yards.
A putting green, as well as practice chipping and pitching areas, are available for short-game practice.
Dress Code
Golf attire is not required. Metal spikes are not allowed.
