Rend Lake Golf Course sits amidst the shores of Rend Lake on one side and the farmlands of Whittington, Illinois on the other.
Rend Lake Golf is three 9-hole courses that are part of the Rend Lake Golf Complex, a facility for Stay & Play golf.
The complex is an hour and 24 minutes east of St. Louis and an hour and 39 minutes west of Evansville.
This public resort-type course is generally closed during the winter months.
Rend Lake Golf Resort Complex
Rend Lake Golf was built in 1976 and designed by Larry Packard. Another 9 holes were added in 1994 making it a 27-hole course.
This hotel course is beautiful and scenic and has stay and play golf with varied packages and condos available and is a feature of this property.

The courses are pretty with flowering trees and with some holes having views of the lake.
Although the course is not hilly, it does have some undulations, a variety of left and right doglegs as well as water hazards that come into play in many holes.
One notable aspect of this course is the big-sized greens that feature on many holes.
The course also has a nice layout with a circular pattern and one can play the 3 courses in any 18-hole combination.
Each of the 3 combinations measures more than 6800 yards in length and so is relatively lengthy.
With 5 sets of tees and with 3 combinations to choose from, this course can be challenging and fun for both novice and beginner golfers.

Course Layout
Driving Range
The facility has a lighted driving range for long-game practice as well as pitching and chipping greens, a bunker, and a putting green for short-game practice.
Dress Code
Appropriate golf attire is required at all times. Collared shirts are not required. Metal spikes are not allowed.
