Situated in Denville, NJ, the Rockaway River Country Club is one of the two private golf clubs in the region.
The club can be reached in 26 minutes from Newark and 49 minutes from Manhattan, by road.
Known as the hub of Morris County, Denville has warm and humid summers and cold winters. So, the playability is limited to 8 months of the year.
The golf course is closed from the 1st of November through to the end of February.
Rockaway River Country Club Golf Course
The course at Rockaway River Country Club was built in 1923 and designed by Devereux Emmet. This is a private club with only members having access to the facilities.

Surrounded by nature parks, the golf course is beautiful with tree-lined fairways and is well-maintained. There are no houses along the fairways.
The fairways are wide with strategically placed bunkers that can challenge your skills. However, with multiple sets of tees, this course can be equally fun and challenging for beginner golfers too.

This is a private club and so access to the general public with a daily-fee option is not available.

Terrace grill dining, front bar and patio dining, as well as a member’s grill room, are available.
The clubhouse can accommodate 200 guests and hosts weddings, corporate meetings, as well as private parties and celebrations.
Driving Range
The facility has a practice range as well as a short game area.
Dress Code
Proper golf attire is required. Smart casuals are permitted with collared shirts. Soft spikes are required on the golf course and the practice facilities. Walking is allowed on the course.
