This is a 9-hole course situated on the shores of Lewisville Lake.
The course has dual flag placements for each hole and two tees for each set of tees, converting the course into 18 holes for those who want to go the whole distance.
Stewart Peninsula Golf is a beautiful property that lies adjacent to Stewart Park; the course sits on a peninsula and is surrounded by the waters of the lake on 3 sides. With scenic views of the lake, this is a walkable course with a walking option included.
This course is made for fun and is an ideal one for beginners and seniors as well as for people who wants a practice session or have been out of the game for some time and want to get back in.
The track has some mild undulations with sloping fairways to the side. Another challenge comes in the form of wind as the course lies next to the lake and has very few trees, if any, on the fairways to protect it. Due to the sloped nature of the layout, water from the lake can pose a hazard to many of the holes.
Directional play is rewarded here than distance. Else, you might lose a few balls to the lake.
The course measures only 2670 yards for 9 holes which is pretty short and so wouldn’t beat you up either. With 3 sets of tees and an option for 18 holes, golfers at all skill levels would find something in it for them to keep it fun yet challenging.
