Swartz Creek Golf Course is situated in the southwest outskirts of Flint, Michigan.
This is a 27-hole course with a regulation 18-hole and a 9-hole executive course managed and run by Flint City.
Swartz is a sister course of Kearsley Lake Golf Course, down the road, and are two of the 4 courses in the Flint area.
The course is an hour’s drive from Detroit.
The Bishop International Airport is just a hop away from the facility.
The course is closed for play from November through to March.

Swartz Creek gets its name from the creek that traverses through pretty much the entirety of the course along with another creek.
This is a beautiful course with wooded areas to the north and shares the southern boundary with Route 69 and so is easily accessible from anywhere in the city.
The course has a nice linear layout with parallel fairways. Although the course is not long, the fairways appear to be lengthy. The fairways are fairly open with decently large-sized raised greens.
There are no sand bunkers on the course and the hazards come in the form of water, mostly due to the creek where lay-up or carryover is required.
The ground is flat with hardly any undulations and is walkable.
Measuring 6660 yards from the back tees, this is not a lengthy course either.
There are 3 sets of tees, and beginners, as well as seniors, will find this course to be fun to play as much as an advanced golfer would.
For people who are short on time, the 9-hole executive course that measures 2570 yards would be a good option to consider.
The course also encourages juniors through a variety of options that even include free golf.

Golf attire is not required. Metal spikes are not allowed.

Swartz Creek doesn’t have a membership option. However, season passes are available for purchase.

Restaurant – Menu
The Deno’s Bar & Grill at Swartz Creek serves snacks and beverages. This is a nice popular spot for the locals.
The clubhouse at Swartz can host weddings, events, and parties with a seating capacity of 100 people.
Pro Shop
The facility has a pro shop. Golf lessons are not available at Swartz Creek.
Tee Times
The course is generally closed during the winter months. For tee time reservations and hours you may visit the course’s website.
