Youghiogheny Country Club is situated in McKeesport, PA, a 34-minute drive from downtown Pittsburgh.
The club takes its name from the Youghiogheny River that winds its way around the area and abutting the golf course.
The river, the hills, the conservation parks and trails nearby – all collude to make this a beautiful setting for a country club and golf course.
The course itself sits on a hill overlooking the river valley beneath making it one of the most picturesque courses in the region.
The clubhouse over here is probably more popular than the course itself because of this reason; especially for wedding receptions and other private events.
The course is generally closed during the winter months, from November to March.
Youghiogheny CC Golf Course – McKeesport, PA
The golf course at Youghiogheny Country Club was built in 1910 and was originally designed by Willie Park, Jr. The course underwent a renovation in 1985 by Ferdinand Garbin.
Several top players including Arnold Palmer have played on this course.

The course is perched on top a hilly terrain and you can expect a lot of undulations and elevation changes because of this.
The front 9’s cluster around whereas the back 9’s are spread out.
The back 9’s have some narrow holes and some tight doglegs that can be tricky.
The lack of water hazards in the course is made up for by strategically-placed bunkers that can deceive the players.
The Yough course is not particularly lengthy by today’s standards, however, measuring at 6375 yards from the back tees, it can provide a lot of bang for your buck.
And with 5 sets of tees, this course can be fun and challenging for the beginner as well as experienced golfers.

The facility has a large 300+ yard driving range for long game practice and a huge putting green.

Restaurant – Menu
The clubhouse at Youghiogheny underwent a million-dollar renovation in 2001 and is a popular spot for hosting wedding receptions and other events.
There are a lot of options available here ranging from ballrooms that can accommodate 270 people to board rooms that can seat 30.
The dining menu is also one of the talked about aspects of this place, with a full-service restaurant and bar and a wine list to cater to all taste buds.
Pro Shop
The clubhouse at Yough has a well-stocked pro shop, men’s locker rooms, as well as a shower, and a sauna.
