Glen Lake Golf Course is a beautiful 9-hole course in Minneapolis. Situated in the wooded
suburbs of Minnetonka, this public course is just 20 minutes from downtown Minneapolis.
Glen Lake Golf is a municipal course and is also the only one in the Minnetonka region.
The course is generally closed from November through March.

The course was built in the year 1997 and was designed by Gill Williams.
This municipal course is managed by the Three Rivers Park District that has 6 courses under its management across the Twin Cities metro area.

This executive-style 9-hole course is beautiful and well maintained and will make you wonder whether it’s really a public/municipal course.
This course has wooded fairways with no houses lining it which makes it pretty.
Glen Lake Golf is “hilly” with some dramatic elevation changes with water coming into play sparsely.
There are no par-5’s on this course and with the longest hole measuring in at 320 yards, you wouldn’t require the services of your driver very much.
However, this can be deceptive, as the elevation changes, the sloped bunkers, and trees can play spoilsport.
As with a lot of 9-hole courses, this is great for people who are short on time and want a quick under 2-hour playtime.
Also, the course is great for beginners as well as for people who want to get back in the game after a gap as it’s considered to be a good practice course too.
Seniors would also find this course to be ideal as it wouldn’t beat you up after a round.
With 2 sets of tees, the course is just about challenging for everyone as well as enjoyable too.
