The abundance of sunshine and lush greenery make for an ideal location for any golfer to enjoy their favorite pastime.

One of my favorite courses in Tampa is Copperhead Course at Innisbrook Resort. This challenging layout offers some of the most scenic views you’ll ever see on a golf course.

Another must-play course in Tampa is TPC Tampa Bay. This championship-caliber course was designed by Bobby Weed and PGA Tour legend Chi Chi Rodriguez and offers an unforgettable experience from start to finish.

Here are the best golf courses in Tampa, FL.

Innisbrook Resort – Copperhead Course (Public)

Copperhead Course – Innisbrook Resort

As an avid golfer, I’ve played on some of the most beautiful and challenging courses around the world.

But when it comes to a truly memorable experience, nothing compares to the Copperhead Course at Innisbrook Resort in Florida.

From the moment you step onto the first tee box, you know you’re in for a treat.

The course is nestled among towering trees and lush greenery, creating a serene and peaceful environment that immediately puts you at ease.

But don’t let the tranquility fool you – this course is tough.

With narrow fairways and strategically placed bunkers, every shot requires precision and focus.

The fairways are perfectly manicured, and each hole presents a unique challenge that tests every aspect of your game.

And let’s not forget about the infamous “Snake Pit” – a trio of holes (16-18) that have been known to make or break even the most seasoned golfers.

My favorite hole on the Copperhead Course is number 16 – also known as “Moccasin.”

This par-4 requires an accurate tee shot over water, followed by a second shot that needs to carry another pond in order to land safely on the green.

But what truly sets Copperhead apart is its rich history. This championship course has hosted numerous PGA Tour events over the years, including the Valspar Championship where some of golf’s biggest names have battled it out for glory.

TPC Tampa Bay

I’ve played on numerous courses around the country. However, TPC Tampa Bay in Florida is one course that stands out to me.

From the moment you arrive, you can sense the prestige and professionalism that comes with playing at a PGA Tour facility.

The course itself is challenging but fair, with undulating greens and strategically placed bunkers. The layout offers a variety of shots and requires players to use every club in their bag.

What sets TPC Tampa Bay apart from other courses is its pristine conditions. The Bermuda grass fairways are meticulously maintained, and the greens roll true.

One of my favorite holes on the course is the par-3 17th over water. It’s both beautiful and nerve-wracking, as you must carry your tee shot over a large pond to reach the green.

Whether you’re an experienced golfer or just starting out, there’s something here for everyone to enjoy.

And if you need a little help improving your game, the instructors at TPC Tampa Bay are among the best in the business.

But what really sets TPC Tampa Bay apart from other courses is its commitment to excellence in every aspect of its operations.
