Bayou Club – Private
A private club, Bayou Club has one of the best golf courses in Largo.
This is a Tom Fazio-designed course, built in 1991, with 18 holes Par 72, with a slope of 144 and rating of 74.4. Tom Fazio had described this course as a ‘Special One.’
PGA tour professionals such as Gary Player, Ian Baker-Finch, and others have played on this course.
The course has a nice layout with splendid flora and fauna that includes oaks, pines, marshes, herons, bald eagles, etc., which leaves golfers with a wonderful experience.
The fairways are wide and can be forgiving for an errant shot. The greens are fast with lots of slopes; and measuring 7009 yards from the back tees, and with 5 sets of tees, can be a challenging course for a beginner as well as an experienced golfer.
The fairways and greens are well maintained as can be expected from a private club.
The facility has a 2.5-acre driving range with two large greens for pitching and chipping as well as for putting.
PGA professionals are available for individual and group lessons.
The club also offers a wide range of membership options from Full Golf to Social.
The facility has a golf shop and a clubhouse with a range of amenities for hosting events.
Semi-Private Golf Courses In Largo, FL
Bardmoor Golf & Tennis Club – Semi-Private
Bardmoor Golf Course has had the prestige of hosting several PGA/LPGA tournaments for over a decade.
The course was built in 1971 and was originally designed by William Diddle. In 2001, the course underwent an expensive $2 million design renovation undertaken by Gary Koch, a six-time PGA winner.
This is an 18-hole Par 72 course with a slope of 131 and a rating of 74.2 from the black tees.
A lot of marquee players such as Arnold Palmer, Fred Couples, and Tom Kite, among others, have played on this course.
The course has a nice layout and is littered with pine trees. The fairways are wide and forgiving with water or large bunkers coming into play on a lot of holes.
At 7015 yards from the back tees and with four sets of tees available, this course provides enough challenges for both beginners as well as experienced players.
The course also has good practice facilities with a driving range, a 15,000 sq ft putting green as well as pitching and chipping area with practice bunkers.
There is also a golf school with a PGA instructor providing lessons for players at all levels.
The clubhouse has a pro shop and pizzeria and is available for hosting events.
Morning tee times can start as early as 6:52 am with the last one for the day at 6:52 pm.
The green fees are $54 for the early morning sessions with cart and $32 for sessions post 4 pm for Florida residents and $59 and $32 with cart respectively for nonresidents.

Pinecrest Golf Course – Par 3 Course
This is an executive-style course ideal for people looking for a quick round of play.
Built in 1968, this is an 18-hole Par 55 course and is the sister course of the bigger East Bay Golf Club.
All Par 3s and measuring 2235 yards in length, makes this course ideal for senior players and beginners and one would be able to finish this course within 2 hours.
The rates are $20 with cart for morning tee times and $16 in the afternoons.
Being a small facility, you would not find most of the amenities that come with a bigger club such as a driving range, pro shop, clubhouse, etc.
Public Golf Courses In Largo, FL
East Bay Golf Club – Public
An 18-hole Par 71 course, built in 1961 and designed by William Mitchell, East Bay Golf Course is one of the two public courses in Largo.
Measuring at 6450 yards with a slope of 128 and rating of 70, and water coming into play on 14 out of 18 holes, this course can be challenging even for experienced hands.
The varied wildlife that is present on the course can bring an element of excitement for every round of golf that you play here.
The facility has a practice driving range and putting greens.
Rates are $35, $32, and $25 for 18 holes with cart for 7 am, 11 am, and 3 pm tee times respectively.
The club also has a clubhouse with a pro shop and a professional PGA instructor for lessons.
Largo Golf Course – Municipal Golf Course
Largo Golf Course is an 18-hole Par 62 course with a slope of 95 and a rating of 58.
Built in 1969, this is a short course measuring 3330 yards from the back tees. And with two sets of tees, this course would be ideal for beginners and senior players.
The facility has a putting green.
Green fees are $28 for a morning tee time for 18 holes with a cart and $24 for a noon session.
A 9-hole option is also available if you are short on time.
A PGA professional is available for lessons for beginners as well as for advanced players.
The course also has a clubhouse with a pro shop and a restaurant.
