Wethersfield Country Club (Scorecard | Rates)
Wethersfield Country Club is situated 12 minutes south of Hartford, CT, and 17 minutes east of New Britain.
This club has a history spanning more than 100 years and was established in 1916 with rich golf history. In fact, Arnold Palmer’s first-ever PGA Tour victory in 1956 was in this course.
The club has hosted the Greater Hartford Open for 32 years.
This is also the only golf course in the Wethersfield area.
Wethersfield Country Club Connecticut
Known as the Club of Champions, Wethersfield Country Club was designed by Robert D. Pryde, which takes you back in time with its traditional layout and stately majestic trees.
All the major professionals of the time had played on this course including Jack Nicklaus, Sam Snead, and Arnold Palmer.

Wethersfield is a beautiful course with flowering trees, and sprawling fairways, and is well-maintained as is expected out of a private club.
The golf course winds its way through the neighborhood flanked by houses on all sides. Because of this, the course has mostly a linear-type layout with many parallel fairways.
The fairways play long and so accuracy is rewarded. Not many water hazards and blocking trees make this course a challenging yet fun course to play.
The ground is mostly flat with mild undulations, however, the greens are terraced and can be deceptive.
Measuring 6600 yards from the back tees, this course is not too long or too short.
With 4 sets of tees, this course can be fun and challenging for golfers at all skill levels.

Driving Range
The facility has a spacious driving range for long-game practice and a large putting and practice green for the short game.
Dress Code
Appropriate golf attire is required. No cut-off or gym shorts are allowed. Metal spikes are not allowed.

The clubhouse has a formal dining room, a full-service bar, and a ballroom with stunning scenery of the course.
